Pre-charged with R-410A refrigerant, this superior component can be installed in upflow, downflow, or horizontal right positions to ensure it can be adapted to your system. Plus, that same installation can be quick and easy when paired with the optional MRCOOL® No-Vac® Quick Connect® line sets. Designed as a perfect match for the MRCOOL Universal condenser, however, the Universal A-Coil has the versatility of also being able to be paired with an existing furnace or modular blower already in your home. Ready to upgrade? Make it a complete system by pairing a Universal A-Coil with our Signature Series Modular Blower or Signature Series 95% AFUE Gas Furnace for maximized efficiency.

The Universal A-Coil is a versatile and adaptable option for your home comfort. It can be paired with other Universal units or as a replacement for an outdated, ineffective A-coil in your current system. The Universal A-Coil offers quieter operation and quick installation than many competitor models. It also features a liquid pipe designed to guard against excessive condensation. That could save you from costly property damage. It is equipped with multiple safeguards including protection against, high-pressure, high-discharge temperature, overload, IPM, and PFC in order to ensure effective and efficient operation for the life of the unit.

    DIY - Saved $25K

    I bought the MRCOOL Universal Evaporator Coil 4-5 Ton, MDUCC15048060 as part of a heat pump system I installed myself, and based on a quote from a local HVAC contractor for their 18 SEER system, I saved $25,000 too! The original 100,000 BTU 80+ furnace was retained as a blower and emergency heat only. Integrated backup heat was not required, because this new system is still more efficient than my furnace down to -5 degrees, which we will never see in my area. However, I still have the option to switch to my 120 volt gas heat furnace if I am running on a generator due to a power loss, because the 240 volt heat pump is too much for it. The actual equipment install was easy compared to pouring a pad and crawling about under my house to pull and hang 50’ of the two refrigerant lines. Instructions were very clear to follow, and I highly recommend using a torque wrench for the line set fittings. Now we enjoy a more efficient heat source and AC too. Would I do it again? Yes!
