DESCRIPTION

This 4th Generation MRCOOL DIY Mini Split includes everything you need to cool and heat your home, office or more. You'll be sent: 48K BTU Multi-Zone Condenser, 12K, 18K and 24K BTU Wall Mount Air Handler. The best part about all of this is that you can install it yourself! The MRCOOL DIY Mini Split is flexible enough to be installed virtually anywhere without hiring an expensive HVAC technician or the need to use expensive, specialized equipment.

Mini Split System Includes

If all air handlers are run simultaneously, their combined BTU output will not exceed the BTU rating of the condenser. In this case, the combined BTU output of the Air Handlers will never exceed the 48K BTU rating of the Condenser.

Condenser 48K BTU

Energy Efficient. This 48K BTU condenser is capable of producing up to an impressive 20.5 SEER2 efficiency rating. And yes... this qualifies for major savings using energy or tax rebates!
Works In Extreme Temperatures. The ability to heat even when temperatures drop to -5°F.

Air Handler 12K BTU

Easy to Control. This unit also has the capability to be controlled by your Apple or Android smartphone through the use of the Smart HVAC app.

Air handlers

I called the place that we ordered the product from, asking if the pipes coming out of the air handlers could exit to the right instead of the back. Was told, yes. Once we started installing, had the manual, it said that the pipes could only be moved 90 degrees, and to the right would move them 180 degrees. Called mrcool to verify. The lady there said "yes they can come out the right side, after all, there is a cut out there. She said bend the pipes 90 degrees. I told her that that would be a 180 degrees bend. She checked with several others while I held for a long time. Finally said that the pipes can only bend 90 degrees, and so they cannot come out of the right side. So, we had to change the placement of both units from the original plans. Very frustrating and stressful!!! However, the shipping of the product was fantastic, the delivery man was great.

Sleek, Classy Ceiling Cassettes

The ceiling cassettes really deliver with space saving and a sleek, classy design. They even work well in 100+ year old lath and plaster ceiling as pictured here. Still getting the hang of the controls and waiting to see what its like in different temperatures but initial installation and operation is great.

Dual or multiple zone

Two ceiling handlers with 18K condenser works perfectly. I had an issue where the system was not working properly from room to room and I could not identify the issue. After contacting tech support and testing and rechecking everything, the problem was electrical was backwards from the refrigeration lines (A & B reversed). I originally did not identify A & B on the refrigerant lines running to the condenser. Once I switched electrical A and B, all worked as it should.
