These ductless range hoods (also known as recirculating range hoods) don't require the messy, expensive and cumbersome ducting to be installed and feed out of your home. With this option, a filter is installed in the range hood to remove all the debris, moisture, etc and the filtered air is recirculated back into your kitchen.

You'll just have to remember to replace your filters once every 6 months!

Why consider purchasing a Ductless or Recirculating Range Hood?

Ductless range hoods are more convenient to install than traditional ducted range hoods. They do not require any major renovations to the home, such as cutting holes in walls or ceilings, which can save time and money on installation. Specifically, no venting is required to feed the air from the range hood, through the wall and then ultimately outside.

Ductless range hoods are generally more energy-efficient than traditional hoods that require the ductwork for ventilation. These range hoods do not lose energy through the ductwork, which can then save on heating and cooling costs.

Recirculating range hoods are versatile and can be used the exact same as a traditionally ducted range hood. They come in a range of sizes and styles and can be integrated into existing kitchen cabinetry, making them a great option for both new construction and remodels.

One thing to always consider is buying from a trusted brand and ensure a high CFM motor can ventilate the air efficiently. You will also have to clean or replace the filter when it gets dirty, usually between 5-6 months depending on how often you use the range hood.
