RETURN POLICY

MRCOOL returns must be requested within 30 days of your delivery date. We are unable to process returns submitted after this period. Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging, including the box and pallet, to qualify for a return.

It’s as easy as advertised. I am a bit handy so I’d suggest having someone with a bit of carpentry experience.
Premium home was easy to deal with after the box with the protective line cover and the contents arrived damaged..they sent the replacement two days later. There was a part missing that is not needed but the book doesn’t say that…premium home called to explain that book hadn’t caught up with the model. Open all boses and check for parts against the list before you start. Works like a charm. Very satisfied. Should have done it years ago.

What is the difference in the fifth generation versus the other?

For the 12,000 BTU single-zone systems, the fifth-generation DIY E Star offers 23.5 SEER2 efficiency, a 25-foot included line set, ENERGY STAR certification, and a 7-year compressor and 5-year parts warranty. The DIY Select offers 17.5 SEER2, an 11.5-foot line set, and a 2-year compressor and 1-year parts warranty. Both provide 12,000 BTU of cooling and heating and use a 115V power supply.

Can I get a 25 ft pre charged lineset with the 12 thousand btu mini split

Yes, a 25 ft. pre-charged line set is available. However, it must be purchased separately, as the 11.5 ft. line set included with the system cannot be swapped.

The MRCOOL DIY Select 12,000 BTU Mini Split System does not include a wall mounting bracket for the outdoor condenser. The indoor air handler comes with its mounting plate, but if you need to mount the outdoor unit on a wall, you'll need to purchase a wall mounting kit separately.
