RETURN POLICY

Harvest Right returns must be requested within 30 days of your delivery date. We are unable to process returns submitted after this period. Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging, including the box and pallet, to qualify for a return.

Should I get the Premier Vacuum Pump or the Oil-Free Vacuum Pump?

Your choice depends on maintenance, budget, and performance preferences.

  • Premier Vacuum Pump (Oil-Based): Faster drying, more durable, and quieter, but requires regular oil changes and maintenance.
  • Oil-Free Vacuum Pump: Maintenance-free, cleaner, and eco-friendly, but costs more upfront, is louder, and has slightly longer drying times.

Do I need a special power source for my freeze dryer?

The small and medium units operate on a standard 110V outlet, while the large model may require a dedicated 20-amp circuit. Check your specific model’s requirements.

What is the space between each shelf?

Small and XL have approximately 1 1/2 inches of space between each shelf, and the Medium and Large have approximately 1 3/4 inches between each shelf. We suggest not over filling the units as that will cause vacuum and cooling errors.

Can I freeze dry candy?

Yes! Many types of candy can be freeze-dried, especially those with a porous or airy texture, like Skittles, marshmallows, taffy, and caramel-based treats. However, candies with high fat content, such as chocolate, may not freeze-dry well. The process enhances the flavor and creates a light, crispy texture.

Absolutely Worth It – A Game Changer in Food Preservation

I don’t usually write reviews, but after using our Harvest Right freeze dryer for a couple of months, I had to say something—this thing is a beast (in the best way possible). I got it from Premium Home Source, and the experience was smooth from start to finish—quick shipping, great communication, and they even answered a random question I had about storing freeze-dried mango in glass jars vs. Mylar bags (spoiler: both work, but the Mylar wins for long term).

Now, onto the freeze dryer itself. I’ve used it for fruits, full meals, candy (yes, Skittles turn into crunchy space rocks), and even my husband’s weird experiment with lasagna. But the most random thing I’ve freeze-dried? My friend Dave brought over a pickle-flavored snow cone from the fair that he somehow managed to save in a container. We tossed it in just to see what would happen. It came out like a tart, crunchy chip… surprisingly not terrible? Anyway, the point is: this machine can handle anything you throw at it.

It’s definitely an investment, but honestly, we’ve saved so much by not throwing away leftovers and preserving garden harvests that I think it’s already paying for itself. The controls are user-friendly, the build is solid, and maintenance is minimal. If you're even thinking about getting a freeze dryer, stop thinking and just do it.

Harvest Right Medium Home Pro Freeze Dryer

This machine is amazing it was the best gift idea I’ve given my wife. She has already started her own business and if it wasn’t for this amazing machine none of that would have been possible. She has freeze dried candy, fruits, chocolates, and has started freeze drying meats. This thing is pretty cool. So far haven’t had any issues with it. The only thing is the rubber seal sometimes doesn't seem to seal all the way and also condensation will drip from the bottom of the seal. Other than that it’s been great
