This is the only wall in my room, as you can see the wall is not a direct path to outside. I had to modify the wall for this one. My only comment is if a reverse layout for the back was available it would have saved me a lot of time. Meaning when looking at the unit, the out-lines are on the right, a left line would have been so much faster for me. It's strongly discouraged in the manual to feed on the left. And I agree it's not friendly and will give you a headache. I have a very hearty doorstop to protect the investment.

Installed a dual zone 18,000 BTU mini split 10 days ago. I got the 18,000 BTU condenser, the 12,000 BTU ceiling cassette, and this 9,000 BTU wall air handler.
I purchased this exact system last year and have been happy with it. I have an oil burning forced hot air furnace in the house and I'm using these to supplement that. It’s feeling much cooler in the summer, and I used about half the oil I usually burn…. Hoping this second unit lowers that number even further. It will also make for a more even cool during the summer. I put this one in my unfinished (sealed and insulated) basement to take some load off my dehumidifier in the summer and help keep my floors and house warmer in the winter. I made a wall for it to hang on and connected its drain hose to my sump pump. Been working great in the summer so far.

I'm happy about the easy install and how cold it can get, my wife on the other hand really likes how sleek it looks compared to our old one from Mitsubishi

The air handler works great with my multi zone system. Each room having its own remote control is a huge plus. Our family is very happy with the entire system in general
